ORAL ORDER The petitioners in the instant criminal petition have challenged the proceedings in C.C.No.52331/2022 pending on the file of XXXIV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bangalore for the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
2. During the course of the proceedings, the matter was referred to mediation and the parties have resolved their dispute before the mediator and a memorandum of settlement has been entered into between the parties. It is further submitted that the petitioners have paid a sum of Rs.8,50,000/- to the respondent by way of a demand draft dated 23.10.2025 bearing No.578377 drawn on State Bank of India, CCPC Branch, Bengaluru as full and final settlement. The respondent acknowledges the receipt of the said demand draft.
3. Petitioner no.2 and the authorized officer of the respondent are present before the Court and they are duly identified by their respective counsel. Both the petitioners as well as respondent pray that the criminal petition may be allowed and

the proceedings in C.C.No.52331/2022 be quashed. Their submission is placed on record.
4. For the aforementioned reasons, the following:
ORDER i. The criminal petition stands allowed; ii. The proceedings in C.C.No.52331/2022 pending on the file of XXXIV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bengaluru are hereby quashed. In view of disposal of main petition, pending interlocutory applications, if any, stand disposed of.
