With the consent of both the learned counsel, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission. 2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the disciplinary proceedings were initiated against the petitioner on 14.09.2017 and are kept pending despite the Enquiry Officer’s Report dated 14.12.2020 holding that the charges were not proved. 3. It is contended that only one charge was framed against the petitioner, which was not proved as per the report of the Enquiry Officer. Pursuant to the report of the enquiry officer, on 11.06.2021, the Chief Commissioner of State Tax forwarded the report to the Special Chief Secretary to the Government. However, no further orders have been passed. Pursuant to the submissions of the Enquiry Officer Report and the subsequent proceedings. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner relies on G.O.Ms.No.91 dated 12.09.2022, seeking expeditious disposal of the disciplinary proceedings and placing reliance on G.O.Ms.No.257 General Administration (Ser.C), dated 10.06.1999, and prays for consideration of the petitioner’s case for promotion. 3 5. Having regard to the submissions made, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition directing the respondent No.3 to consider the case of the petitioner in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257 General Administration (Ser.C), dated 10.06.1999, if the petitioner’s case is in the zone of consideration. Respondent No.2 also shall conclude the inquiry in terms of G.O.Ms.No.91, dated 12.09.2022. 6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
