Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor. Perused the record. 3. As seen from the averments of the F.I.R., the petitioner, being the son-in-law of the de-facto complainant, beat the husband of the deceased with a stick on his right temple region and also on the right side of his body. As a result, the husband of the de-facto complainant sustained severe bleeding injuries. He was shifted to the hospital and subsequently succumbed to those injuries. After thorough investigation, charge sheet was filed, and the case was registered as P.R.C.No.26 of 2025. The petitioner was arrested on 22.04.2025 and he has been in judicial custody for the past 210 days. There are five criminal adverse antecedents reported against the petitioner/accused. 3 Dr.YLR,J Crl.P.No.11475 of 2025 Dated 18.11.2025 4. The learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the police have maintained the suspect sheet against the petitioner/accused. L.W.5 is the mother-in-law of the petitioner, and there is a land dispute between them. In this case, L.Ws. 1 and 2 are direct eyewitnesses. L.Ws. 3 and 4 are the relatives, but they are also direct eye witnesses. L.Ws. 11 and 12 are independent eyewitnesses. The CCTV footage was secured and sent for analysis after following due process. 5. In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case, the nature and gravity of the allegations levelled against the petitioner/accused, and the prima facie well-founded accusation as reflected from the charge sheet, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner/accused on bail at this juncture. Hence, this Criminal Petition is liable to be dismissed. 6. In the result, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel, Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed. _________________________ DR. Y.
