under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of writ of Mandamus directing the 17th respondent to secure and safeguard the properties and administrations of the 45 to 64 Pleader for R17, 41 to 64 Order This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the 17th respondent to secure and safeguard the properties and administration of the 45 to 64th respondent temples by considering the petitioner representations dated 08.01.2020. 2. The case of the petitioner is that when he visited the temples of the respondents 45 to 64, he found several illegalities and irregularities either in temple properties or in its administrators, which are administered by the 17th https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 15968 of 2025 __________ Page10 of 19 respondent officials. Hence, he submitted detailed representation to the 17th respondent on 08.01.2020, followed by reminders dated 28.03.2022, 08.05.2022 and 26.08.2022 to the respondent authorities with respect to take immediate steps to secure and safeguard the 45 to 64 respondent temples properties and administrators. Pursuant there to the 10th respondent had sent instructions dated 09.03.2023 to the 17th respondent and others. Since there was no progress and therefore, he sent another representation dated 21.04.2025 and despite the same, nothing has move forward and hence, he has filed the instant writ petition. 3. Heard both sides and perused the materials on record. 4. Considering the limit scope of prayer sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2020 and after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested parties, pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition shall stands disposed of.
