Heard Sri D.V.Sasidhar, learned counsel for the Petitioners and Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for respondent State. Perused the material on record.
Learned counsel for the Petitioners would submit that respondent Police are unnecessarily interfering in the duties of Archakatvam of the Petitioners in respondent No.8 Temple which is illegal and arbitrary.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home on written instructions would submit that there is a dispute between Tangamm family and Chilla family about archakatvam in respondent No.8 temple with regard to rights of the temple. The families have to perform archakatvam on rotation basis for every one year. Respondent police never interfered in the subject matter between the parties and necessary orders may be passed by disposing of this Writ Petition.
