Page 2 of 3 By means of filing the present writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for following reliefs: “(i) To admit the instant writ petition; (ii) ISSUE RULE NISI. (iii) ISSUE RULE, calling upon the Respondents and each one of them, to show cause as to why a Writ of Mandamus and/or in the nature thereof, shall not be issued, directing and/or mandating them to appoint the Petitioner as a Constable GD in any of the force of Respondents No.3 to 8. (iv) ISSUE RULE calling upon the Respondents and each one of them, to show cause as to why a Writ of Mandamus and/or in the nature thereof, shall not be issued, mandating Respondents to implement the list of Recruitment issued via Notification No.07/02/2023-C-1/2, dated 20.08.2023(Annexure-1) (v) ISSUE RULE calling upon the Respondents and each one of them, to show cause as to why a Writ of Certiorari and/or in the nature thereof, shall not be issued, directing them to call for all the relevant records and/or documents in connection to instant matter. (vi) Cost of and incidental to this proceeding may be directed to borne by Respondents. (vii) Any other Order(s), Direction(s), may be given as the Hon’ble High Court deem fit and proper for the benefit of conscionable justice.” What has emerged from the submission of Ms. Guha, learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner stood successful in physical, written as well as medical examination but his candidature has been withheld as because his finger prints did not tally with the biometrics which he had given earlier. At this juncture, Mr. Majumder, learned Dy. SGI has placed before this Court a communication dated 30th January, 2025 whereby and whereunder it is stated that all the disputed finger prints have been sent to the Tripura State Forensic Science Laboratory and Director Central Finger Print Bureau, New Delhi. It is further stated in the said communication that the process of verification of many candidates is under process. From the said communication it is also revealed that the finger print of Sri Prem Kumar Kairi has already been verified and found to be matched with the original biometrics. In view of this, the respondents have decided to issue appointment letter in favour of the petitioner and the process is going on. In the light of above, the matter may be disposed of with a direction upon the respondents to expedite the process of issuance of appointment letter in favour of the petitioner preferably within a period of 6(six) weeks from today. A copy of the communication dated 30th January, 2025 issued by Jatinder Singh Binji, Comdt (Estt) is kept on record. The instant writ petition stands allowed and disposed in the above terms.
