JUSTICE A.GUNESHWAR SHARMA 7.1.2025 Heard Mr.Tarunkumar Haobam, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr.Tim Haobam, learned counsel for the petitioners. The petitioners approached this Court with a prayer for conducting Special DPC for considering notional promotion after their retirement in the year 2014-2016 to higher post after stagnating in the same post event though they are eligible for promotion. The petitioners submitted representation in the year 2013 and also reminder representation dated 16.12.2024 and they are pending. It is submitted that the writ petition may be disposed of passing innocuous direction to the State respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners on merit, within a stipulated period of time. Mr.Y.Ashang, learned Government Advocate assisted by Mr.Jinkhai, learned Dy Government Advocate submits that this Court may pass appropriate direction in terms of the modified prayer of the petitioners. Considering the submissions made at the Bar, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondents to dispose the representation dated 16.12.2024 (Annexure A/14) submitted by the petitioners within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is clarified that this Court does not express any opinion on the merit of the representation submitted by the petitioners. With this observation and direction, the writ petition is disposed of. Misc case also, accordingly disposed of. Furnish a copy of this order to learned counsel for the parties.
