1. By way of filing the present criminal writ petition, the petitioner has approached this Court under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus with request for appointment of a Warrant Officer or direct the respondents No.2 and 3 to visit the spot and to get the detenue namely Aanchal released from illegal custody of respondents No. 4 to 7.
2. In compliance of the order dated 25.03.2025, the SHO Police Station Zirakpur has produced the the detenue namely Aanchal before this Court.
3. I have interacted with her in the Court today itself.
4. She submits that she is a student of B.A Ist year and is aged about 18 years. She further submits that at present she is staying with her parents i.e. respondents No.4 and 5 out of her own free will and does not want to HITESH 2025.04.02 09:11 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/judgment High Court, Chandigarh
CRWP-3048-2025 (O&M) -2 accompany the petitioner. She further submits that there is no pressure on her from any corner and she is voluntarily residing with her parents i.e. respondents No.4 and 5.
5. In view of the statement made by the alleged detenue namely Aanchal, no further orders are required and the petition is accordingly, disposed off. She is permitted to go to a place of her choice.
6. Needless to observe that the parties shall be at liberty to avail their legal remedies, if any, in accordance with law.
7. Pending application(s), if any, stand(s), disposed of, accordingly.
