The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for offence under Sections 341, 323, 307/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 30(a)/45 of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act. 3. During vehicle checking, when police signaled the petitioner and co-accused, riding on motorcycle, to stop, they tried to flee away and when chowkidar tried to stop them, petitioner and co-accused assaulted him. It is further alleged that petitioner and co-accused succeeded in fleeing away from the spot leaving the motorcycle and on search, 54.220 liters of illicit liquor has been recovered from a gunny bag, which was loaded on the said motorcycle.
