NO. 219 OF KADIYALAKARENAHALLI VILLAGE, BIDADI HOBLI, RAMANAGARA TALUK AND DISTRICT, IN BLOCK NO. 11 TO DIGITIZED RTC AND TO CONSEQUENTLY EFFECT PHOD OF THE SAID LAND. THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader takes notice for all the respondents. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:37954 WP No. 28552 of 2025 2. Learned Senior Counsel Sri.Satish M.Doddamani appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted 2 acres of land in Survey No.219, Block No.11 of Kodiyala, Karenahalli, Bidadi Hobli, Ramanagara Taluk and District in the year 1991, according to the official memorandum issued by the Tahsildar at Annexure-A1. It is submitted that the name of the petitioner was entered in the revenue records. However, after computerization, the name of the petitioner has been discontinued. The prayer, therefore, is to direct respondent No.4-Tahsildar, Ramanagara Taluk, to consider the representation at Annexure-C dated 21.03.2025 given by the petitioner to enter the name of the petitioner in the computerized RTC. In this regard, the petitioner has made a representation to respondent No.4-Tahsildar, Ramanagara Taluk, Ramanagara District, to re-enter the name of the petitioner in the land revenue records. However, no orders have been passed by the respondent-Tahsildar till date and therefore the petitioner had approached this Court - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:37954 WP No. 28552 of 2025 seeking a direction to the respondent-Tahsildar to enter the name of the petitioner in the computerised land revenue records. 3. After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned High Court Government Pleader and on perusing the petition papers, this Court finds from the material on record that the name of the petitioner was earlier entered in the land revenue records. However, if the Tahsildar is of the opinion that the petitioner had not been granted lands, nevertheless, it is the duty of the Tahsildar to secure the original grant records, Saguvali Chit issue register and other contemporaneous records to satisfy himself regarding the grant made in favour of the petitioner. Moreover, there is no reason why the name of the petitioner which was earlier entered in the land revenue records has been continued after computerization, the Tahsildar is duty bound to look into all these aspects and pass necessary orders. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:37954 WP No. 28552 of 2025 4. Consequently, this writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to respondent No.4 - Tahsildar to consider the representation given by the petitioner and in the light of the observations made hereinabove, verify the original records and pass necessary orders to enter the name of the petitioner in the land revenue records as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5. Learned High Court Government Pleader is permitted to file memo of appearance within a period of four weeks from today. Sd/- (R DEVDAS) JUDGE rv List No.: 1 Sl No.: 22 CT:BHK
