02/ 02.12.2025: Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.
2. The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Gumla P.S. Case No. 311/2025, registered under sections 21(a), 22(a) and 29 of Narcotics Drugs & Psychotropic Substance Act, 1985, pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge, Gumla.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the name of the petitioner has come in the confessional statement of the co-accused persons namely, Shubham Kumar and Sanju Oraon and from their possession 1.5 gram brown sugar was recovered. He further submits that quantity of contraband is small. On these grounds, he submits that the petitioner may kindly be provided privilege of anticipatory bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer and submits that the name of the petitioner has come in the confessional statement of the co-accused persons.

Considering that the name of the petitioner has come in the confessional statement of the co-accused persons and from their possession 1.5 gram brown sugar was recovered and quantity of contraband is small, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the above named, petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned court within

three weeks from today and in the event of his surrender / arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 25,000/- (twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge, Gumla, in connection with Gumla P.S. Case No. 311/2025, subject to conditions as laid down under Section 482 (2) of B.N.S.S, 2023.
