Heard the parties. 2. The present writ petition has been filed for following reliefs:- “(i) The petitioner prays for a direction upon the concerned respondents to pay adequate compensation i.e. Rs.1,00,000/- through the State Government and Rs.3,00,000/- through the Government of India as per decision of both the Governments to the petitioner as his son was killed by the extremists on 7.7.2005; The petitioner further prays for protection of his life and property and a direction to concerned respondents to provide other benefits as per the Policy of the Governments on the ground that his family is suffering a loss of life and property at the hands of the extremists; The petitioner further prays for a direction upon the Respondent No.3 to dispose of the representation made by the petitioner by letter dated 12.12.2023 for payment of adequate compensation as against the death of his son by Naxal activities.” 3. Admittedly, the cause of action is of the year 2005. 4. The writ petition is sought to be maintained on the ground that the petitioner is an illiterate person and he is not aware of the scheme. This cannot be a ground to cover such delay and latches. Page No.2 W.P.(C) No.6468 of 2025 5. In that view of the matter, I am not inclined to entertain the present writ petition.
