The present Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with the following prayers:- “(I) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quash the advertisement dated 25/01/2023 for the post of Professional Assistant (Library). (II) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondents to absorb the services of the petitioner for the post of Professional Assistant (Library) in HNB Garhwal University. (III) Issue any other or further writ, order or direction which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case. (IV) To award the cost of the petition in favor of the he petitioner.” 2. Dr. Kartikey Hari Gupta, Advocate, submitted that the services of the petitioner are similar to the 1 2025:UHC:1182 petitioners of WPSS No. 425 of 2014 and WPSS No.44 of 2024. Vide Office Order dated 05.03.2025, the respondent University constituted a Committee to examine the services of various employees including the petitioner. The said Committee submitted its report on 24.04.2025. The Committee recommended that the petitioner may be given appointment against the existing vacant posts in the University. There are sanctioned and vacant posts in the University against which the petitioner can be given appointment. An affidavit dated 30.04.2025 of the Registrar of the University has been filed in support of the said submissions. 3. With the consent of both the parties, the present Writ Petition is disposed of in terms of the Order dated 20.03.2018, passed in WPSS No.425 of 2014 and Order dated 24.12.2024, passed in WPSS No.44 of 2024. ___________________ ALOK KUMAR VERMA, J.
