The petitioner has preferred the present petition inter alia with the prayer to direct the respondent no. 2/District Magistrate, Shahjahanpur to accept the surrender application dated 11.03.2025 of commercial arms and ammunition license bearing no. Praptra-8 no. 473/S.C./2017 Shahjahanpur and Prapatra-9A no. 13/Shahjahanpur. 2. Instructions dated 25.04.2025 under the signatures of District Magistrate, Shahjahanpur placed before this Court, the same is taken on record. 3. It is stated in paragraph 9 of the aforesaid instructions that in continuation of the letter dated 28.01.2025 by the Joint Secretary, U.P., Government, Home (Police) Section 5, Lucknow, the City Magistrate, Shahjahanpur has directed the petitioner by letter dated 20.03.2025 to submit his written reply regarding the objections expressed by the government. Copy of the letter dated 20.03.2025 also provided to the petitioner. 4. After going through the same it is argued by counsel for the petitioner that he will submit the reply pursuant to the letter dated 20.03.2025 expeditiously. 5. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 6. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to submit his reply to the aforesaid objections within a period of three weeks from today. If it is so, the authority concerned will take final decision in the matter within a period of next six weeks from the date of the reply submitted by the petitioner.
