2. By this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the petitioner have prayed for the following relief(s):
“It is, therefore, prayed that in view of the above the FIR as well as the charge-sheet and other criminal prosecution in furtherance thereof may kindly be quashed”
3. As per the case of the prosecution in the year of 2019-2020 in Paddy Procurement Center Shivprasad Nagar Distt. Surajpur wherein the petitioner was allegedly posted, in the said season total 60248.30 quintal paddy was purchased but after the physical verification a shortage of 1391.84 quintal paddy was found and the petitioner along with others were held liable for such irregularity and an FIR was lodged under Crime No. 148/2022 at Police Station, Surajpur, District – Surajpur (C.G.) for the offence punishable under Sections 420, 409, 34 of IPC and after completion of investigation, charge-sheet was filed before the competent Court. Hence, this petition.
4. From perusal of the case status of the present case, it transpires that the charges have already been framed and the case is fixed for prosecution evidence on 28.02.2025.
