GP FOR CIVIL SUPPLIES (AP) The Court made the following: VS,J W.P No.45477 of 2018 3 ORDER: The present Writ Petition is filed challenging the action of the 2nd respondent in issuing Notification in C1/368/2018, dated 05.12.2018, for filing up the Fair Price Shop Dealer under OC (Women) Category without following the rule of reservation for Shop No.64 of Adavi Buduguru-II Village, Kuppam Mandal, Chittoor District. 2. When the matter came up for admission on 14.12.2018, this Court passed the following interim order: “As it is asserted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that already the petitioner has been discharging the functions as a Fair Price Shop Dealer, the respondent authorities are directed to permit the petitioner to discharge his functions as a Fair Price Shop Dealer, till fresh appointments are made, pursuant to the Notification, dated 05.12.2018. However, the respondent authorities shall complete the entire process of appointment of Fair Price Shop dealer, within a period of eight weeks.” 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Assistant Government Pleader for Civil Supplies for respondents. 4. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Civil Supplies has furnished a copy of the instructions of the District Supply Officer, Chittoor, vide Roc.C1/103/2025, dated 14.08.2025, wherein it is stated that the petitioner was appointed as a temporary dealer for Fair Price Shop No.1066064 of Adavibuduguru-II of Kuppam Mandal by the then Collector, Madanapalle, vide proceedings dated 17.01.2018. It is further stated that the petitioner is being continued as a VS,J W.P No.45477 of 2018 4 temporary dealer in the said shop till today without any interruption and she is maintaining the Fair Price Shop in the name of “Vinayaka Grama Lakshmi Group, Adavibuduguru Village, Kuppam Mandal, Chittoor District represented by its president Smt.R.Pavithra W/o R.Radhakrishnan. 5. The said instructions would prove that the respondents have not initiated any action in pursuance of the Notification dated 05.12.2015 and have continued the petitioner as the Fair Price Shop dealer of the subject shop. 6. In view the above instructions, this Court is of the opinion that no further cause survives in this writ petition. 7. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge any further proceedings issued by the respondents.
