[2] By the present petition, the petitioner challenged the appointment of respondent No. 4 on in-charge basis. [3] Mr. M. Rarry, learned senior counsel, produces a copy of the order dated 27.01.2025 issued by the Deputy Secretary (RD & PR),Government of Manipur stating that the petitioner retired from service on 28.02.2025 on attaining the age of superannuation and hence, the cause of the writ petition does not survive and may be closed. [4] Ms. Malemleima, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that question of law may be kept open. [5] Recording the submissions made at the bar, the writ petition is closed as infructuous.
