Deoghar, District Deoghar. …... …. Petitioner(s) Versus The State of Jharkhand .…. …. Opp. Party -------- CORAM : HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH -------- For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. Ravi Prakash Mishra, Advocate For the State : Mr. S. K. Verma, A.P.P -------- 03/ Dated 16.12.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Deoghar (Town) P.S. Case No. 599 of 2024, S.T. Case No.188 of 2024, for the offence under Section 80(2) of B.N.S., 2023, pending in the court of learned Additional District and Sessions Judge-II, Deoghar. Petitioner happens to be the husband of the deceased, Sudha Kumari, who died due to Asphyxia because of hanging in her matrimonial home. From perusal of the case diary, it appears that just prior to the occurrence, the deceased had made a WhatsApp call to her family members, stating that the accused persons were assaulting her for dowry. In view of the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected. (Ambuj Nath, J.)
