Heard learned counsel for the sole appellant as well as learned AGA for the State and perused the record. 2. The instant criminal appeal under Section 374(2) Cr.P.C., against the judgment and order dated 5.5.1983 passed by XV Additional District and Session Judge, Kanpur in Session Trial No.55 of 1982 (State v. Smt. Vidya & another) convicting and sentencing the appellant to undergo rigorous imprisonment for four years under Section 307 IPC read with Section 34 IPC and six months' rigorous imprisonment under Section 323 IPC read with Section 34 IPC. 3. As per report dated 19.8.2025 sent by Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Kanpur Nagar, the sole appellant Smt. Vidya has died on 21.9.2022. 4. Accordingly, the appeal against the sole appellant Smt. Vidya wife of Sri Maji Lal, Resident of 8/119 Arya Nagar, P.S. Nawabganj, Kanpur, stands dismissed as abated. September 18, 2025 P.P.
