JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus to be issued to respondent No.3-Special Tahsildar, Anekal Taluk, to effect revenue entries, mutate and enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records in respect of land in Survey No. 132 of Guttahalli, Sarjapur Hobli, Anekal Taluk, in terms of the orders passed by the Special Deputy Commissioner-2-respondent No.2 at Annexure-J dated 02.08.2016 and the subsequent order passed by the Special Deputy Commissioner-2 at Annexure-B dated 26.06.2025 - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:38229 WP No. 22948 of 2025 2. It is seen from Annexure-J that pursuant to Government Order dated 10.10.2014, at the instance of the Tahsildar, Anekal, a review was taken up in respect of the orders passed by the then Special Deputy Commissioner, who had granted lands in favour of the petitioner’s father-Sri.Munivenkatappa and two other persons vide Official Memorandum dated 30.03.1979. The Special Deputy Commissioner heard the Tahsildar looked into the original records and found that the grant made in favour of the petitioner's father was in order and therefore directed the Tahsildar to proceed to enter the name of the grantees in the revenue records. Pursuant thereto, the Special Deputy Commissioner has also communicated to the Tahsildar on 26.06.2025 at Annexure-B that he has given biometric approval and therefore, the Tahsildar may proceed to mutate and enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. Despite these directions and communications, respondent No.3-Special Tahsildar has - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:38229 WP No. 22948 of 2025 not acted upon such directions issued by the Special Deputy Commissioner. 3. Consequently, the writ petition stands disposed of, with a specific direction to respondent No.3- Special Tahsildar, Anekal Taluk, to proceed and mutate the name of the petitioner in the revenue records in terms of the Communication at Annexure-B dated 26.06.2025, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
