This writ petition has been filed with the following prayers:- "(a) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Court below to decide the Election Petition No.6 of 2023 (Meena Devi Vs. (b) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and direct the Additional District Judge/Special Judge (Dacoity Affected Area) Etah to dispose of the Election Petition within time bound manner as early as possible." It is contended that in the election held under the Municipalities Act in the year 2023, an Election Petition No.6 of 2023 was filed by the petitioner which is pending consideration since then. The sole prayer made in the writ petition is for expeditious disposal of the said election petition. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, or calling for counter affidavit or issuing notice to the private respondents, the matter is being disposed of, at the admission stage, with a direction upon Court concerned to decide the Election Petition No.6 of 2023, after hearing all the concerned parties, strictly in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. With the aforesaid direction, present writ petition stands disposed of. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the case on merit.
