JUSTICE LALITHA KANNEGANTI ORAL ORDER The present petition is filed aggrieved by the order passed in Crl.Misc.No.874/2021 dated 30.07.2022 whereby the Court had granted maintenance of an amount of Rs.4,000/- per month in favour of the wife till her life and Rs.3,000/- each per month in favour of the children till they attain the age of - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:28821 RPFC No. 208 of 2022 majority. The wife is before the Court seeking enhancement of maintenance. 2. It is the case of the wife that respondent is working as a First Division Assistant in Treasury of Hunsur Branch and he is drawing handsome salary of Rs.55,000/- per month and that apart he owns a house and from that he is earning an amount of Rs.20,000/-. It is her case that inspite of having sufficient income he has failed to maintain the petitioners. 3. The husband has filed his objections. He does not deny the relationship between himself and the petitioners. He is employed as FDA in Treasury Branch, Hunsur. The other allegations were denied. It is his case that after deduction he is getting a salary of Rs.26,783/- per month and out of the said amount he has to maintain himself and his aged ailing parents and also the education expenses of minor children. The Court considering his salary granted an amount of Rs.10,000/- as maintenance. 4. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner perused the material on record. 6. The husband has not denied the fact that he is a Government employee and his salary is an amount of Rs.51,866/-. However, according to him, after deductions he is getting Rs.26,783/-. Except the statutory deductions with regard to the other deductions this Court is not concerned. Balancing the interest of both the parties this Court deems it appropriate to enhance the wife's maintenance to Rs.6,000/- and to the children Rs.4,000/- each taking into consideration the income of the husband. Accordingly, the Court is passing the following: ORDER (i) The order passed in Crl.Misc.No.874/2021 dated 30.07.2022 by the II Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Mysuru is modified and the maintenance to the wife is enhanced from Rs.4,000/- to Rs.6,000/- per month and to both the children from Rs.3,000/- to Rs.4,000/- each per month. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:28821 RPFC No. 208 of 2022 (ii) Accordingly, the Revision Petition is disposed of.
