Pursuant to our order dated 07.08.2025, Mr. Sanjeev Bindra, (GP Captain Joint JAG (AIR) HQ) has joined the proceedings virtually. He has shared with us a copy of the order dated 08.08.2025, which is taken on record and marked as “X”. A bare analysis thereof reveals that the competent authority has taken a formal decision to grant pensionary benefits including gratuity, to Ex-Squardron Leader Raj Kumar Rana with effect from 19.04.2000. And additionally interest @ 12% per annum from 15.05.2016 till the date of payment. He submits for the necessary sanctions have since been accorded and after carrying out the requisite formalities, the necessary amount shall be disbursed to the petitioner within two weeks. Further, he submits that if the petitioner cooperates with the authorities in this regard and submits the necessary documents, it would rather facilitate the process of releasing the requisite amount at the earliest. That being so, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petition be disposed of in the wake of the order dated 08.08.2025 (ibid) as also the statement made by the Officer. However, she submits that in the event, still, the authorities do not disburse the amount, the petitioner is
entitled to, she be granted liberty to move an appropriate application in this petition itself for its restoration and appropriate orders. In the wake of the above and in terms of the statement made by
learned counsel for the parties, the petition is accordingly, disposed of with liberty as prayed for.
