This is petition on behalf of claimant. The land of petitioner was acquired by National Highways Authority of India for road widening. An award was made against which NHAI has preferred an application under Section 34 of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter referred as "Act of 1996") which has been registered as Misc. Application No. 495 of 2020. The sole prayer made in the writ petition is for a direction upon District Judge, Kanpur Dehat to expedite the said proceedings. 2. Section 34(6) of the Act lays down the time period for deciding the proceedings under Section 34. 3. The District Judge, Kanpur Dehat is requested to proceed with Misc. Application No. 495 of 2020 filed under Section 34 of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 and decide the same within the time period provided under Section 34(6) of the Act of 1996. 4.
