THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K SREENIVASA REDDY CRIMINAL PETITION NO: 501 of 2025 ORDER: The Criminal Petition, u/See.482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha sanhita, 2023, is filed on behalf of the petitioners/Al to A3 to grant anticipatory bail in connection with Crime No.13/2024 of Jaladurgam Police Station, Nandyal District. 2. A case has been registered the petitioners initially for the OffenCeS punishable under sections 498-A, 506 read with 34 IPC and 3 and 4 of Dowry Proh'lbition Act, and later Sections 3O7 and 120B IPC were added basing on the statement of defacto complainant. 3. Case of the prosecution 'ln brief is that'. prior to 25.01.2024, at the house of the accused in Devanagar, Nandyal Town, Al to A3 harassed the defacto complainant physically and mentally for getting additional dowry and also threatened her with dire consequences. on o5.01.2024, Al to A3 tried to kill her by pressing her face with a pillow and hence the defacto complainant lodged the report. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. Learned Assistant Public prosecutor submits that the investigation iS still pending and some more witnesses are yet to be examined. jE# eE± Ei- 6. A perusal of the materlal avallable on record goes ___.._~.~ vH It=uUra goes to show that on o5 012024 at about 2 00 pm, when the defacto complalnant was sleeplng, lt IS alleged that a" the accused consplred together and trI'ed to kI" the defacto complalnant by pressl'ng her face vAth a plllow. Though the sald lnCldent sald to have taken place on o5 01 2024, the defacto complajnant dld not file any complaI'n{, and at a belated stage ,.e on 25.012024, the present report has been regl'stered agamst the accused 1 to 4 for the offences under sectl'ons 498-A, 506 read wl|th 34 lPC and 3 and 4 of the Dowry prohl'bltl|on Act Later baslng on her statement of the defacto complalnant, the police added sect,Ions 307 and 120B IPC. There ls no any explanatlon as to why so much delay has occurred Ion fill'ng the report.
