THIS WP IS FILED UNDER ARTICLES 226 & 227 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA PRAYING TO DIRECT THE RESPONDENT NO.4 TO CONSIDER THE REPRESENTATION OF THE PETITIONER DTD 08.06.2023 AT ANNEXURE-A.
THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER:
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE R DEVDAS
ORAL ORDER Learned Additional Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. It is the contention of the petitioner that the petitioner’s father, late Sri. Narayanappa, was granted 4 acres of land in Survey No.156 of Pemmashettihalli Village, Vakkaleri Hobli, Kolar Taluk and District, in the year 1972. The name of the petitioner's father was entered in the revenue records in the year 1974 and continued till the year 1999-
2002. However after computerisation, the name of the petitioner’s father is missing in the RTC. In this regard, the petitioner has made representation to the 4th respondent-Tahsildar, Kolar Taluk to enter the name of the

petitioner in the RTC. However, no orders have been passed by the respondent-Tahsildar till date and therefore the petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the 4th respondent-Tahasildar to enter the name of the petitioner in the computerised RTC.
3. After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Advocate and on perusing the petition papers, this Court finds from the material on record that the name of the petitioner’s father was earlier entered in the RTC. However, if the Tahasildar is of the opinion that the petitioner’s father has not been granted lands, the Tahasildar shall secure and verify the original grant records, Saguvali Chit issue register and other contemporaneous records to satisfy himself regarding the grant made in favour of the petitioner’s father. Moreover, there is no reason why the name of the petitioner’s father was missing after the computerization. The Tahasildar is duty bound to look into all these aspects and pass necessary orders.
