Learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to amend the prayer clause of the writ petition, during the course of the day. 2. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 3. This writ petition has been filed for following relief:- "i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the notice/report Under Section 115C dated 25.05.2014 issued by the respondent No. 2 (Annexure No.1 to this writ petition) ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent authorities not to create any hindrance in peaceful possession of petitioner over the property in question as Chak No. 171 situated in Village-Rasoolpur, Pargana-Anguli, Tehsil-Shahganj, District-Jaunpur." 4. Contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that proceedings under Section 115(C) of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 are pending since 2014. He prayed that same may be decided expeditiously. 5. No useful purpose would be served in keeping this petition pending. 6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition stands disposed of finally with a direction to respondent No.2 - Tehsildar (Judicial), Tehsil-Shahganj, District- Jaunpur to consider and decide the aforementioned proceedings, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order after ensuring service upon the opposite parties as well as giving opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned and without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties provided there is no other legal impediment.
