…...... 05 / 13.11.2025: Mr. Sachin Kumar, learned AAG submits that the service period of 10 years, 85 days of the petitioner, when the petitioner was posted in different District including Deoghar, Patna, Garhwa, Latehar, Medninagar, Munger, Garhwa, Jhumritaliya, Medninagar, Gumla and Medninagar has not been verified. Thus, it is not possible for him to say whether he actually worked during that period or not. 2. Considering the aforesaid submission, the Principal Secretary, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Govt. of Jharkhand who is present today will himself verify whether the petitioner worked during this period or not in those places and during this period which
is mentioned in Letter No.804 dated 12.07.2025. 3. If it is found that petitioner has actually worked and there is no other legal impediment, this period should be verified and certified, thereafter appropriate decision in respect of payment of pension on compulsory retirement of the petitioner should be taken by the Secretary. Further, the Principal Secretary will take a decision on the payment of other post retiral benefits also. 4. The entire process should be concluded within a period of 16 weeks. 5.
It is made clear that the Principal Secretary will also consider the writ petition and averments made therein including the Annexures appended wherein, as the petitioner had explained that he has worked for 10 years and 85 days. If necessary personal hearing can be given to the petitioner also. 6. The instant writ petition stands disposed of. 7. This Court appreciate the assistance rendered by the Principal Secretary, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Govt. of Jharkhand. 8. Appearance of the Officers are hereby dispensed with.
