Even though the reply has not been filed, however, with the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the matter is heard at this stage.

This writ petition has been filed for the grant of following substantive reliefs: -
“(i) That an appropriate writ, order or Directions may kindly be issued directing the respondents to grant the benefit of approved

military service towards fixation of pay in favour of petitioner from the date of joining civil employment; (ii) That an appropriate writ, order or Direction may kindly be issued directing the respondents that on granting the benefit of approve military service towards fixation of pay in favour of the petitioner, to release the consequential benefits in favour of the petitioner such as arrears etc. along with interest@ 6% p.a.”

Learned counsel for the respondents-Corporation has placed on record office instructions dated 04.12.2025, relevant portion of which read as under: -
“On the above cited subject, it is to inform you that the CWP 4922/2005 titled as Gurbaksh Singh Vs State of HP & Ors is listed for hearing before the Hon'ble High Court of HP on
05.12.2025. Consequent upon the perusal of the above mentioned CWP, it has been found that the case of the petitioner is similar situated with the case of Sh. Dilbag Singh, hence the case needs to be decided on the analogy of judgment rendered in Sh. Dilbag Singh CWP No. 11982/2024.
However, the corporation has directed the concerned unit i.e. Reckongpeo to examine/review the case as per judgment rendered in Sh. Dilbag Singh case and if found similar, all related documents i.e. Appendix A & B alongwith service book be sent to this office so that matter could be decided accordingly (copy of letter dated 04.12.2025 enclosed herewith.”
In terms of above instructions, the respondents have candidly admitted that the case of the petitioner is similar to that of Dilbag Singh Vs. HRTC & Ors.2

In view of above admitted position, this writ petition is
disposed of with the order that the directions issued in Dilbag Singh2 shall mutatis mutandis be applied to the case of the present petitioner as well. Appropriate order in this regard be passed by the respondents within six weeks. The decision so arrived at shall be also communicated to the petitioners. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
