The petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. Case No.87 of 2024, arising out of Pakur (Mal Pahari O.P.) P.S. Case No. 83 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 304-B of the I.P.C., pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Pakur. Bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court vide B.A. No.9287 of 2024 by order dated 11.11.2024. On 22.04.2024 at about 4:00 P.M., petitioner is alleged to have strangulated his wife. It was submitted that out of 9 charge sheeted witnesses, 5 witnesses have been examined and informant has not supported the prosecution case. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected. Learned trial court shall expedite the trial.
