Neutral Citation No. (2025:JHHC:33291) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 10038 of 2025 Naresh Yadav, aged about 33 years, S/o Kesho Yadav, R/o village- Chatro, P.O. & P.S.- Barhi, District- Hazaribagh. … Petitioner - Versus - The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party ------ CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Sankalp Goswami, Advocate For the State : Mr. Vijoy Kumar Sinha, A.P.P. --- 02/07.11.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made an accused in connection with S.T. Case No.82 of 2025 arising out of Barhi P.S. Case No.361/2024 for the offences registered under Sections 80(1), 238, 61(2), 3(5) of the B.N.S. 2023, pending in the court of learned Additional District & Sessions Judge- IV, Hazaribagh. Bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court vide B.A. No. 644 of 2025 by order dated 28.01.2025. Petitioner happens to be the brother-in-law of the deceased Priti Kumari, who was strangulated to death in her matrimonial home within four months of her marriage. It is alleged that she was tortured to enforce the demand of rupees 2 lakhs and Apache motorcycle. It further appears that before being strangulated to death she was subjected to physical torture, due to which one of her eye was also damaged. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is used to reside separately from the deceased and her husband. On specific query, whether any witness has stated this fact, he replied that it was his submission only. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected. Learned trial court shall expedite the trial. (Ambuj Nath, J.) 7th November, 2025 Jay/-
