Petitioners have challenged the FIR of Crime No.11 of 2025 u/s 420, 120-B, 504 and 506 IPC registered against them at P.S. Patel Nagar, District Dehradun. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that this is a matter of money lending where the assurance was given by the petitioners to double the money invested within a certain period of time; respondent no.3 has lodged false FIR against petitioners as she herself is a cashier-cum-clerk in Bank of Baroda; no detail of any payment has been mentioned by respondent no.3 in the FIR. 5. On the other hand, learned State Counsel opposed the petition arguing that it is a matter relating to money lending. 6. On a perusal of the impugned FIR, it appears that prima facie a case is made out against the petitioners; they have specifically been named in the FIR; the allegation is that a conspiracy was hatched against the respondent no.3/informant and she was even abused and threatened to her life. 7. Having regard to the facts of the case, it is not a fit case for quashing the impugned FIR. The petition lacks merit and the same is dismissed in limine. (Pankaj Purohit, J.) 12.03.2025 R.Dang
