However, a Constitution Bench has, in the case of High Court Bar Association, Allahabad versus State of U.P. and Ors.; 2024 INSC 150, restrained the High Courts to issue any direction to the trial Courts/Tribunals to decide the cases within a time bound manner except in exceptional circumstances.
