Raghunandan Rao) The present Writ Petition has been filed contending that the alleged detenue, was forced to file a false complaint, against the petitioner and that the detenue, had in fact given a signed affidavit, stating that he was forced to give such a false complaint primarily to assist the police officials. The petitioner contends that the police officials, having realized that the detenue has given such an affidavit, have forcibly and illegally detained the detenue with them. He contends that the detenue is being threatened and pressurized 2 to retract from the affidavit and state that he had filed a proper complaint against the petitioner. 2. With a view to ascertain the facts a direction was given to produce the detenue before this Court. The detenue is physically present before this Court. Upon being questioned, the detenue stated that he is not under any detention and he is freely moving around, in Bhimavaram Town. He further states that the affidavit in which he had stated that a false case had been filed by him, against the petitioner, was obtained under the pretext of assisting in the grant of bail. He submits that his complaint is genuine. 3. In view of the above statement of the detenue, we do not find any reasons to continue this Writ Petition and accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
