1. This is an office reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 13.12.2023, passed in MCRC No. 7876 of 2023, while allowing the bail to the petitioner, namely, Varsha Vankhede, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier on occasion also, this Court had granted extension of time for conclusion of the trial vide order dated 22.01.2025 in CRMP No. 252/2025.
4. The learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Ambikapur, District – Surguja (C.G.) through the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Surguja at Ambikapur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 17.07.2025 has requested for grant of 2 months’ time for concluding the trial.
5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that the present case is at the stage of recording of the prosecution witness, and evidence of 03 investigating Officers and 01 other witness are yet to be examined. Hence, trial is likely to take some time for its conclusion. Hence, he prays for grant of 2 months’ time for concluding the trial.
6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of two months from today.
7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
8. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
