Notice to respondent No.3 is not necessary for the following reasons. 2. The petitioner is seeking a direction to the second respondent-Tahsildar, Magadi Taluk, Ramanagara District, to enter his name in the revenue records on the strength of the registered sale deed dated 08.08.2000. However, the petitioner himself has furnished certain information along with the writ petition, which shows that there are counter claims by some other persons and the petitioner has filed a police complaint, as can be seen at - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:33154 WP No. 24110 of 2025 Annexure-C and the petitioner has also filed a suit in O.S.No.208 of 2025, which is pending on the file of the learned Civil Judge and JMFC at Magadi. That being the position, unless there is a declaration at the hands of the competent Civil Court, the name of the petitioner cannot be entered in the revenue records. 3. It is however open for the petitioner to approach the Assistant Commissioner invoking Section 136(2) of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964, seeking mutation entry while raising a challenge to the present names entered in the revenue records.
