SINGH, J ---------------------------------------------- Con.Case(C) No. 539 of 2025 ---------------------------------------------- Dated this the 03rd day of April, 2025 J U D G M E N T The present contempt petition has been filed alleging willful disobedience and non-compliance of the judgment dated 16.10.2024 passed by this Court in WP(C) No. 18152 of
2019. This Court disposed of the said writ petition with the following directions:
“However, I noticed that the learned counsel - Sri. R. Rajasekharan Pillai, has pointed out that the petitioners were receiving the said benefits till 2019 and therefore, they will be permitted to make an appropriate representation in that regard, for extension of the canteen facility. Taking note of the said submission made by the learned counsel, I leave the liberty to the 2nd petitioner herein to make an appropriate representation to the competent 2nd respondent herein, po12inted out that the 2nd petitioner is entitled to the canteen facilities on account of various contributing factors. If such a representation is filed by the 2nd petitioner, within a period of one month from today, the 2nd respondent would consider the same and take an appropriate decision sympathetically, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of three months thereafter. 2025:KER:29679 CON.CASE(C) NO. 539 OF 2025 3 Resultantly, the said writ petition would stand disposed of as under: i) The challenge against Clause 9 (b) of Ext.P2 is repelled.
ii) The 2nd petitioner is permitted to make an appropriate representation to the 2nd respondent as noticed hereinafter”. 2. In pursuance of the liberty granted by this Court, the petitioners made a representation to the 2nd respondent; however, the representation has been rejected by the 2nd respondent vide the order dated 02.04.2025. In view of the decision taken on the representation of the petitioner, pursuant to the liberty granted by this Court in the judgment dated 16.02.2024 passed in Writ Petition(C) No. 18152 of 2019, nothing survives in this contempt petition, and the same is hereby closed.
