IN THE HIGH COURT OF HIMACHAL PRADESH, SHIMLA CWP No. 18399 of 2025 Date of Decision: 27.11.2025 _____________________________________________________________________ Gul Nimaz ……...Petitioner Versus Himachal Road Transport Corporation and Ors. …....Respondents Coram Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sandeep Sharma, Judge. Whether approved for reporting? For the Petitioner: Mr. Sunil Dutt Gautam and Mr. Harmohan Thakur, Advocates. For the respondents: Mr. Dheeraj K. Vashishat, Advocate. ___________________________________________________________________________ Sandeep Sharma, J. (Oral) In nutshell, grouse of the petitioner, as has been highlighted in the petition and further canvassed by learned counsel for the petitioner is that arrears to the tune of Rs. 9,18,485/- on account of regularization from the back date are not being paid for wholly unjustifiable reasons. Though total amount as counted is Rs.11,68,685/- in terms of order dated 18.2.2025 (Annexure P-3) passed by the Managing Director, Himachal Road Transport Corporation, but till date, petitioner has been paid only Rs. 2,50,000/- in the year 2022 and thereafter, no single penny has been paid to him. 2. Before notices, if any, could be issued in the instant proceedings, Mr. Dheeraj Vashisht, Advocate, while putting in appearance on behalf of the respondents, fairly states that entire - 2 - balance of Rs. 9,18,485/- shall be paid within six months, which offer is acceptable to the learned counsel for the petitioner. 3. Consequently, in view of the above, present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to ensure that balance amount, as undertaken herein above, is paid to the petitioner within a period of six months, failing which petitioner would be entitled to interest @ 6% per annum from the date afore amount fell due in favour of the petitioner. Pending applications, if any, stand disposed of. November 27, 2025 (Sandeep Sharma), (manjit) Judge
