Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it is the contention of the petitioner was granted with the petition schedule property namely 15 guntas of land in Survey No.9 of Bili shivale Village, Hoskote Taluk, - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:34423 WP No. 12291 of 2025 Bengaluru Rural District, in the year 1979 and pursuant to the grant the name of the petitioner was entered in the revenue records. However, after computerization the name of the petitioner is not continued. In this regard, the petitioner has made a representation to the 3rd respondent-Tahsildar, Bangalore East Taluk, Krishnarajapuram, to re-enter the name of the petitioner in the land revenue records. However, no orders have been passed by the respondent-Tahsildar till date and therefore the petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the respondent-Tahsildar to enter the name of the petitioner in the computerised land revenue records. 3. After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Advocate and on perusing the petition papers, this Court finds from the material on record that the name of the petitioner was earlier entered in the land revenue records. However, if the Tahsildar is of the opinion that the petitioner has not been granted lands, nevertheless, it is the duty of the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:34423 WP No. 12291 of 2025 Tahsildar to secure the original grant records, Saguvali Chit issue register and other contemporaneous records to satisfy himself regarding the grant made in favour of the petitioner.
