Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:52172 Court No. - 5 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 294 of 2023 Petitioner :- Vijayi Shukla Respondent :- State Of U.P. And 4 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Mridul Tripathi,Pradeep Kumar Tripathi,Praval Tripathi Counsel for Respondent :- Abhishek Srivastava,C.S.C.,Usha Kiran Hon'ble Ajay Bhanot,J. Heard Praval Tripathi, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-State, Ms.Usha Kiran, learned counsel for the respondents No.3 to 5 and Shri Ujjawal Srivastava, learned counsel holding brief of Shri Abhishek Srivastava, learned counsel for the respondent No.2. The impugned order dated 11.12.2006 passed by the respondent No.3-Managing Director, Kanpur Electricity Supply Company, Kanpur Nagar has been withheld three increments with cumulative effect. The writ petition has been filed in the year 2022. No satisfactory cause for the delay and laches on part of the petitioner has been shown. The submission made on behalf of the petitioner that he was making continuous representations over the years to the department is of no avail to him. It is well settled law that mere making of repeated representations do not furnish a satisfactory cause to condone the delay. The writ petition is liable to be dismissed on the grounds of delay and laches and is accordingly dismissed.
