G RAMESH BABU The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: 2 “.... a Writ of Mandamus, declaring the inaction of the respondents in considering the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of librarian/lecturer in library science though he is eligible and qualified as illegal, arbitrary and in violation of existing Rules besides Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion as Librarian/Lecturer and library science in the 4th respondent college.” 2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Sri T.V.S.Kumar, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the matter pertains to the promotion of the Petitioner. Learned counsel would further submit that, since the Petitioner retired from service, no further orders are required in this matter and the petition may be disposed of. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Education would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders. 4. In that view, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the Petitioner is at liberty to file fresh petition according to law, if so advised. There shall be no order as to costs.
