This writ petition has been filed for the grant of following substantive reliefs: -
“(i) That a writ in the nature of certiorari may kindly be issued for quashing office order dated 10.12.2024 passed by respondent Nod vide Annexure P-9. (ii) That a writ in the nature of mandamus may kindly be issued directing respondents No. 3 and 4 to Issue revised authority in respect of the interest payable to the petitioner on the final GPF payment from the due date till actual payment Le. from 01.11.2021 to 29.08.2024 as per the

applicable rates from time to time on amount of Rs.53,08,525/- credited in his account and Justice be done. (iii) That respondents No. 3 and 4 may also be burdened with damages of Rs. One Lakh to be paid to the petitioner for causing. him mental agony, harassment and distress and further a cost of Rs.1 Lakh only may also be imposed upon these respondents for unnecessarily dragging the petitioner before this Hon'ble Court and justice be done.”

Pursuant to the orders passed in this writ petition,
learned counsel for respondents No.3 and 4 has placed on record an office letter dated 18.09.2025 and, on that basis, submits that an amount of ₹8,87,388/- towards the interest component on account of retention of the General Provident Fund beyond the permissible period of six months has been released in favour of the petitioner

Learned counsel for the petitioner acknowledges the above position and submits that the grievance raised by the petitioner in this writ petition has been redressed.

In view of above, the present petition to stand disposed of as the grievance of the petitioner raised in this writ petition now stands redressed. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also to stand disposed of.
