For the Respondent: Mr. Virbahadur Verma, Advocate. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jyotsna Rewal Dua, Judge This writ petition has been filed for grant of following substantive reliefs:- “i) That a writ in the nature of mandamus may kindly be issued, directing the respondent- Corporation to appoint the petitioner on regular basis w.e.f.15.09.2008 instead of contract basis by extending the benefits of the judgment dated 08.02.2019 rendered by the Hon’ble Apex Court in Civil Appeal Nos. 1557-1564 of 2019 (Arising out of SLP (C) Nos. 16158-16165/2016) titled as Himachal Road Transport Corporation versus Lekh Ram Etc, with all consequential service benefits. ii) That the respondent may further be directed to pay arrears alongwith interest @9% per annum flowing out of grant of regular status of conductor to the petitioner w.e.f. 15.09.2008, with all consequential benefits by issuing writ of mandamus.” 1 Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes. 2 2. Respondent has filed reply opposing the writ petition. 3. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner states that petitioner would be satisfied if respondent is directed to consider the case of the petitioner for redressal of his grievance raised in this writ petition in the light of Himachal Road Transport Corporation Vs. Lekh Ram etc.2 Learned counsel for the respondent has no objection to this prayer. 4. Having regard to above submissions and without examining the merits of the matter, this petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the case of the petitioner in light of the aforesaid judgment and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The decision so arrived at, shall also be communicated to the petitioner. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also to stand disposed of.
