In this writ petition, the petitioner has sought a direction upon respondent No. 2 to issue verification report in favour of the petitioner for renewal of his passport No. N3067375 with a further direction to respondent No. 3 to renew his passport. 02. Having regard to the nature of the grievance projected by the petitioner by way of present writ petition, the same is disposed of, at this stage, by extending the following directions to respondent Nos. 2 and 3. i. Respondent No. 2-Additional Director General, (CID) J&K Police, shall furnish the verification report in respect of the renewal of petitioner’s passport within a period of fifteen days. ii. Upon receipt of verification report from respondent No. 2, the respondent No. 3-Regional Passport Serial No. 135 2 WP(C) No. 1902/2025 Officer, Jammu, shall take a decision with regard to the renewal of the passport of the petitioner most expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of the verification report. 03.
