HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU Case: WP(C) No. 1788/2024 Surinder Singh ..... Petitioner(s) Through :- Mr. Rakesh Sharma, Adv. vs U. T. of J&K and others .....Respondent(s) Through :- Ms. Priyanka Bhat, Adv. vice Ms. Monika Kohli, Sr. AAG CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE WASIM SADIQ NARGAL, JUDGE ORDER 16.09.2025 1. The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction upon the respondents to provide adequate security to the petitioner. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner, at this stage, fairly submits that one Personal Security Officer(PSO) has already been provided by the respondents to the petitioner, though the petitioner has prayed for two PSOs. 3. Thus, in light of the position which is existing as on date and the statement made in this context, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has instructions from the petitioner not to pursue the instant petition anymore. 4. In this backdrop and since the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed, the present writ petition is disposed of. However, this will not preclude the petitioner to re-agitate the matter afresh, if cause survives. (WASIM SADIQ NARGAL) JUDGE JAMMU 16.09.2025 Rakesh 34 Rakesh Kumar 2025.09.18 10:53 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
