The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Meharma P.S. Case No. 105 of 2025, for the offences registered under Sections 318(2), 64(2)(m), 352, 351(2), 351(3), 318(4), 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023, pending in the court of Sri Mukti Bhagat, learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Godda. Petitioner is alleged to have raped the prosecutrix when she was in the state of intoxication. It is further alleged that the petitioner started threatening her to make her photographs viral and extorted money from her. It is also alleged that prior to the occurrence in the year 2019 the victim had instituted a case under Section 354 of the I.P.C. against the petitioner, in which he has been granted bail. Attention has been drawn towards the re-statement of the informant recorded at paragraph-14 of the case diary, in which she has stated that the family members of petitioner and the victim were running a financial investment company and there was some dispute between them over payment of money. It appears that there is delay in lodging the present case. In view of the aforesaid facts, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri Mukti Bhagat, learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Godda or his successor, in connection with Meharma P.S.
