Mr. Sushil Vashisth, learned Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. Mr. Bhupesh Kandpal, learned counsel for respondent no. 5. 4. This writ petition was filed in 2019 challenging the advertisement issued by THDC Institute of Hydropower Engineering and Technology, on 11.02.2019. Petitioner also challenged the Government Order dated 22.10.2018, whereby certain posts were created for THDC Institute of Hydropower Engineering and Technology. 5. Mr. Bhupesh Kandpal, learned counsel for respondent no. 5 – THDC- IHET submits that the advertisement, impugned in this writ petition, was cancelled by Uttarakhand Technical University in its 14th Meeting held on 02.06.2023 vide Agenda No. 14.11. Thus, he submits that the writ petition has become infructuous, as no selection was held pursuant to the impugned advertisement. 6. The statement made by learned counsel for respondent no. 5 is not disputed by learned counsel for the petitioner. 2025:UHC:2107-DB 7. Thus, this Court finds substance in the said submission made by learned counsel for respondent no. 5. 8. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed, as infructuous. (Ashish Naithani, J.)
