Das, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. H. Terangpi, learned Standing Counsel, Secondary Education Department, for the respondent Nos. 1 & 2. Also heard Mr. A. Chaliha, learned Standing Counsel, Finance Department. 2. During the course of hearing, Ms. Terangpi has produced one letter of the Director of Secondary Education, Assam, addressed to the Inspector of Schools, CDC, Cachar, dated 20.08.2026; and another letter of the Deputy Secretary to the Government of Assam, addressed to the Director, Secondary Education Department, dated 19.08.2026, wherein, it is stated that the Department of School Education is agreeable to accord approval of pay fixation of Smti. Geetashree Das, Principal, Swarna Lakshmi Higher Secondary School, District- Cachar, at Rs. 88,780/-, in the Pay Scale of PB: Rs. 30,000/-Rs,1,10,000/-, with GP: Rs. 13,300/-, as on 19/09/2024, in the post of Principal of Swarna Lakshmi Higher Secondary School, Narshingpur, Cachar District, with the date of next increment on 01/07/2025, as per provision of Rule 11 of AS (ROP) Rules, 2017 read with FR 22(I)(a)(1) of FRs & SRs, subject to the adjustment of pay and allowances already drawn in the present post from the date of joining. 2.1. And on the basis of the said letter, dated 19.08.2026, the Director has written one letter to the Inspector of Schools, on 20.08.2026, asking the Inspector of Schools, Cachar, Silchar, to take necessary action on the fixation of pay, in respect of Smt. Geetashree Das, Principal (now retired), Swarna Lakshmi Page No.# 3/3 Higher Secondary School, Narshingpur, Cachar District. 2.2 And since the grievance of the petitioner has already been addressed by the respondent authorities, this Court is inclined to close this petition. 3. Mr. Das, learned counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that though, the petitioner has retired from service in the year 31.01.2026, the petitioner has not yet received the pensionary benefit and as such, he submits that the Inspector of Schools may be directed to finalize the pensionary benefit of the petitioner. 4. However, it appears that no such prayer has been made in this petition by the petitioner. Even then, this Court hopes and trust that now, the Inspector of Schools, Cachar, Silchar, will proceed to fix the pay of the petitioner and will also finalize the other pensionary benefits of the petitioner and release the same to her, as soon as practicable. 5.
