Neutral Citation No. (2025:JHHC:38644) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 11592 of 2025 Birsa Munda, aged about 20 years, S/o late Sukra Munda, R/o village- Ghunsuli, P.O.- Ghunsuli, P.S.- Karra, Dist.- Khunti … Petitioner - Versus - The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party ------ CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Amit Kumar, Advocate For the State : Mr. V. S. Sahay, A.P.P. --- 02/23.12.2025 Heard the parties. Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Sessions Trial No.263 of 2023, arising out Karra P.S. Case No.71 of 2023, corresponding to G.R. Case No.597 of 2023, for the offence registered under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge- III, Khunti. Bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court vide B.A. No.2260 of 2024 by the order dated 22.04.2024 at that stage. On 28.09.2023, Father of the informant was found murdered outside the house of Ghura Munda. Suspicion has been raised against the petitioner that he might have committed the murder of the deceased, due to previous enmity. It appears that on the basis of confession of the petitioner, lathi which was used in commission of murder of the deceased was recovered. It was submitted that petitioner is in custody since 28.09.2023. It was also submitted that lathi is a very common instrument, it is found in every house. It was further submitted that out of 8 chargesheeted witnesses, 4 witnesses have been examined. Considering the period of custody, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Khunti, in connection with Sessions Trial No.263 of 2023, arising out Karra P.S. Case No.71 of 2023, corresponding to G.R. Case No.597 of 2023. (Ambuj Nath, J.) December 23, 2025 Jay/-
