Mr. Mahim Sasmal, learned Advocate appearing for the applicants submits that the Block Development Officer of Kaliachak-III, Development Block, Baishnabnagar, Malda issued letter to the Additional District Magistrate, Malda for engagement of the petitioners for Vector Borne Disease Control (VBDC) work under Charianantapur Gram Panchayat and as such they are necessary parties. He seeks for impleading the Additional District Magistrate and Block 2 Development Officer as added respondents in the writ petition. Mr. Sabir Ahmed, learned Advocate appearing for respondent no.4, Prodhan, Charianantapur Gram Panchayat leaves the matter to the discretion of the Court. Considering the submissions advanced on behalf of the petitioner as well as the averments made in the application, let Additional District Magistrate, Malda and the Block Development Officer of Kaliachak-III, Development Block, Baishnabnagar, Malda be impleaded as added respondent nos.5 and 6 in the writ petition. Department is directed to carry out necessary amendment as aforesaid. Accordingly, CAN 2 of 2025 stands disposed of. Petitioners are directed to serve copy of the amended writ petition upon the respondents and file affidavit of service on the returnable date. WPA 20450 of 2024 On the prayer of learned Advocate for the petitioner, leave is granted to file supplementary affidavit. Supplementary affidavit filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. Petitioner is directed to serve copy of the supplementary affidavit upon the respondents. 3 Mr. Ahmed, learned Advocate representing the respondent no.4 seeks to file affidavit-in-opposition. Let such affidavit-in-opposition be filed by respondent no.4 within a period of two weeks. Advance copy of such affidavit-in-opposition be served upon the learned Advocate for the petitioners.
